· A missed period is one of the most common yet unnoticed early signs of pregnancy. Unless you menstruate on a regular cycle, you can notice it immediately but some women may not pay more attention especially if they have an irregular menstruation cycle. Some women miss their monthly period due to several factors like poor diet, high levels of stress and other factors. It may be best to wait for at least a week before you take a pregnancy test to confirm your suspicions that you are on the way.
· Your breasts will feel tender and painful. The areola or skin surrounding the nipples will swell and darken
· Your basal temperature will be persistently higher than normal.
· You feel you are gaining weight or that you have bloated. Your abdomen too, appears to have enlarged.
· You will start feel morning sickness, which means nausea and vomiting. This is one of the most common yet dreaded among the early signs of pregnancy. It does not live to its name also. It can strike anytime, morning noon or night. This usually occurs during the first month or so of pregnancy but it varies from one woman to another, depending on how her body copes with the changes.
· You are always feeling tired and sleepy. This one early sign of pregnancy that is caused by the changes in your hormone levels.
· You may experience frequent urination. You may even leak a small amount of urine when you laugh, cough or even sneeze. This is due largely to the fact that your uterus is expanding that it presses your bladder.
· Mood swings will attack you frequently. You will feel stressed most of the time but you need not be alarmed because these, too are early signs of pregnancy.
· You may experience having melasma or “mask of pregnancy” but not all will go through this, though. This is when a darkening of the skin will take place in a woman’s face, cheek, forehead or any part of the face. This is just normal.
All women are different from each other. You may or may not experience any or all of the above early signs of pregnancy. That all depends upon your body.
